Check-in is after 4 o’clock and checkout is before 11. Contactless check-in and out.

Door. The door will automatically relock itself when you close it. To disable this and leave the door unlocked all the time, turn the bottom inside thumb latch below the deadbolt latch. 

HVAC. The large units hanging on the wall are heat pumps and air conditioners. The thermostats on the wall are the controller. Please just select “Too Warm” or “Too Cold” to adjust the temperature. The overhead fan helps stabilize the temperature especially in the loft.  Best to let it run all the time. Run the loft fan to move the air to the ceiling fan and down to get cooled.  It helps to point the controller at the wall unit when changing the temperature. Press the “Smart Set” button to reset. All units should run in the same mode such as Cool or Heat. If set differently, it will lock out the last unit.  AUTO is not recommended during the transition season of hot-cold, heat-air.

Fireplace-heat. Use the remote control to start and enjoy the fire.

TV. Local HDTV channels.   Roku Internet TV.

Internet. WiFi open network called ”Quailrun”.

Bath Floor Heat. Automatic, enjoy.

Kitchen Faucet. Move lever up and down for temperature. Move lever sideways for water flow

Septic. The Cottage is on a septic system. Please do not flush anything down the toilet except waste. Please no grease down the drains.  Use paper towels to absorb.

Fishing. Across the road is a fully stocked pond. No license required.  Our record is a 24”, 6 pound Bass with a 16” girth.

Fire pit. This is a gas fire pit, please no wood or other items in the fire. Turn the gas on and light. Please turn off when done.

Grilling.  Turn the gas on and turn the knob. Please turn the gas off at the tank when done.

Coffee, Food, drinks, condiments and snacks are provided for your convenience.  Your housekeepers try keep them stocked from the Honor Jar located in the refrigerator.  Bring your own to be sure you have what you want.

Trash. There is a dumpster across the road and south of the lake in the big parking lot.  Do not leave trash outside or you will have furry visitors.

Bugs. We spray weekly and have traps but we live in the woods in Indiana. 

The Cottage is adjacent to a Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area Field. That field is on the west side of the tree line. Please follow their guidelines regarding access:
